LICAR started out in 1973 as a manufacturer of frames and profiles, catering to the demands of a particularly quality- and detail-conscious market niche. As the decades rolled by, the company expanded into wrapped cabinet doors and other components, setting itself apart from the competition with a premium array of products combining aesthetics, function and innovation.
LICAR joined ILCAM Group in 2014, proving a strategic asset and key to the Group’s ambitions to offer a comprehensive and diversified range. Its introduction into the Group marked the start of a process that would see the company build its international profile, especially in the UK and North America, markets in which it now sets the benchmark in coated five-piece cabinet doors.
Bolstered by ongoing investment and a sound business vision, LICAR has maintained a steady growth curve, aligning with the Group’s quality, service and sustainability standards, and standing out for its ability to offer market-leading products in terms of quality of materials and design focus.
In 2018, ILCAM Group entered into a joint venture with Canadian group Olon to create O.L. Frontal Solution, a company with a production facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
O.L. Frontal Solution officially joined the Group the following year, slotting into its role as a specialist in wrapped cabinet doors and components, and changing its name to LICAR America.
Having a base in the United States not only extended the Group’s global reach, but also strengthened our ability to cater to the demands of US customers by developing technically advanced, custom solutions.

LICAR supplies dealers, distributors and manufacturers with a full range of wrapped cabinet doors, focusing on research and on exploring new materials and new combinations. Today, LICAR is a go-to supplier for the US and UK markets.
LICAR produces doors wrapped in laminates and decorative paper, polymer sheets as well as veneered solutions. A distinctive strength is its ability to supply five-piece doors assembled with a variety of joint types: Shaker, mitred, cope and stick, and French mitred.
With its manufacturing and sales facility in Indiana, LICAR America is perfectly placed to meet any demand from the US market immediately. Leveraging latest generation technology, the picking service is particularly efficient, ensuring customers get the exact goods they ordered, in the exact quantity, at any time.
